New What’s Driving Us? instructors

WDU

Congratulations to the six new What’s Driving Us? (WDU) instructors who recently undertook training and became accredited to deliver the programme.

What’s Driving Us? is a national course offered to drivers who commit certain road traffic offences, such as using a mobile phone whilst driving, as an alternative to prosecution or a fine and penalty points.

Developed by Health Psychologist Dr Fiona Fylan, WDU is delivered throughout the UK and aims to increase insight into the decisions that people make on the road through presentations and discussion.

The six new instructors attended a two-day training programme after which they were required to demonstrate a good understanding of the psychological principles underpinning the WDU course.

We are pleased to say they all achieved the necessary standard to become accredited instructors. Many congratulations!
