Fiona is a Health Psychologist with 20 years’ experience of applied psychology. She works internationally in applying Health Psychology tools and techniques to better understand and change behaviours. Fiona has extensive experience of evaluation and of designing and conducting actionable research. She has worked across a wide range of sectors, including commercial and government organisations, health, sustainable behaviour and road safety. Fiona is a member of the British Psychological Society, she is a Reader in Psychology and head of the behavioural research team at the Leeds Sustainability Institute, and she is the academic lead for NDORS, the national organisation that oversees driver offender retraining schemes.

Beth is a health and social researcher who has worked extensively in the health, education and commercial sectors. She is an experienced research project manager and a skilled researcher and data analyst who has led research for clients in national and local government, higher education, the museums and leisure sector and the private sector. Beth has particular expertise in developing creative and actionable recommendations from research findings. She has a PhD in medicines management and patient safety and an MSc in Social Research Methods and Statistics. She is a member of the Social Research Association and a fellow of the Royal Statistical Society.

Lauren is an experienced researcher with a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Psychological Approaches to Health. Lauren has a broad interest in behaviours that affect people’s health and approaches to behaviour change. She has led a range of mixed-methods research projects in the public and private sector, including research to understand and evaluate changes in health behaviours, behaviours in the workplace and how behaviour change contributes to improved service design and delivery. She is experienced in project managing large-scale national research and designing and delivering a range of data collection methods.

Amanda is our Projects Co-ordinator. She has over 25 years’ experience in administration and she has provided support across our public sector, private sector and national research. She is responsible for implementing our quality management processes and for ensuring Brainbox projects are effectively delivered. Amanda also co-ordinates our training and conferencing programmes and has recently managed and delivered a national conference in road user behaviour change.
